Hi there! I am a pet parent to the beautiful Bella. She is 14 months, very dog-friendly, and relatively mild-mannered, but still playful! She to loves play, sniff, chew her yak chews, and observe the world. She especially loves wrestling play, but is very social, so will adjust her play style to engage the other dog (usually chase or ball stealing). We are also working on getting her to ‘settle’ when there is a small, non-aggressive dog that really wants to play but is a little afraid of her size. I have an elderly mom who has had multiple strokes. I am mostly looking for regular play dates and consistent trades so I can fly to see her (about once every 3 months). For this reason, I am also mask conscious in crowded public spaces (e.g. indoor shopping). I work mostly from home, with occasional commutes to SF.

Hi! We're a dog family with 2 older kids (10 and 13) and 2 cattle dog mixes (about 1 year old). The dogs are brothers and have sweet personalities. They are pretty chill once they've had a good walk or play time.

We are a family of 4 with one child entering Kindergarten and the other 3rd grade in the fall of 2023. We had a dog for 15.5 years but she passed away in 2022. I’m Ashley, I’m 34 years old and have a miniature long haired dachshund named Mila. I work from home and can take breaks throughout the day for playtime or walks (if it’s not too hot). We have a fully fenced yard and ramps/little stairs to get up on the couch or bed). My dog Mila is very shy with new people and dogs, but after getting to know them and feeling comfortable with them she becomes playful and very sweet. I’m looking to be able to swap boarding with someone that can watch her while we go away on vacation or want a longer night out, preferably someone who also has a small dog that she could play with as this automatically makes her more comfortable and excited. Mila does have separation anxiety so she would need to stay with someone who works from home and wouldn’t leave her alone for too long. She also sleeps in our bed at nights, so someone who is comfortable with her sleeping in their bed is also ideal.

Harry is one big lovable Golden Retriever and he blends in well with our busy household of three kids (ages 8-13). He has done some obedience training, rally work and agility training and he continues to enjoy agility sessions he does with my teenager.

Hi there! I've had Callie since she was 4months old and started training right away. She knows basic commands and is used to walking in Downtown Walnut Creek. Scooters sometimes scare her if they are coming from behind. She can be anxious and timid dog but a few treats warms her up. She loves other dogs and hasn't had one bad experience with them. She sleeps and eats in her crate. I usually work from home 4 days a week. So she is in her crate when she wants to sleep and on the couch or on the patio otherwise. I live in an apartment with a back patio and a doggie common area. I live near downtown Walnut Creek so walks are loud and noisy but the apartment is quiet. I am in my mid 30's, work in tech and have 2 dogs, a miniature poodle and a Japanese Akita. I usually have someone to care for my Akita, so the one that needs boarding is my miniature poodle. He is 12 lbs, potty trained, and very calm. He doesn't like big or overly energetic dogs. He does great with smaller, low energy dogs. He's not playful with other dogs, but he LOVES human attention.

Lyla is a super friendly, sweet dog, and gets along with most anyone and any dog. She is used to being around lots of people and kids. Even though she’s getting older and is mellow when home, we take her hiking everyday, so she’d need to be with someone who gets out for daily walks. Lyla is always ready to play. Oh! And she’s obsessed with balls. Most of the year we’re around, but when we’re gone, we’re gone for a month or two. We try to have Lyla stay with friends, but they’re not always available. Looking for people who would be willing to take her for a month or so. We are happy to help you during the times we’re around.

He does well with adult dogs. He gets annoyed at puppies :(e a random date for his birthday, but we don’t actually know his age.

Have two small older dogs super sweet and lazy. They are good with other dogs and cats and kids who are gentle. They are housebroken and don’t need walks but they need to go out / be walked out every 4 hours or so unless in kennels so they don’t have accidents. They are fine with kennels up to 4-5 hours.

I have 2 dogs, Tyson, a Dalmatian and Simba, a Labrador. We love hiking and routinely enjoy parks, beaches and hiking trails. Tyson is very sociable with kids and loves playing with small to large dogs. He has a thing for white poodles and lovessss playing with them! He doesn’t like anyone touching his belly or legs randomly or while he is sleeping. He sleeps with me on bed and sleeps on couch sometimes. He eats only one meal a day during summer and drinks a lot of water!! He eats more during winter. He is both human and dog friendly unless a un neutered dog tries to hump him!

Bo is the best dog I've ever had. He is friendly and affectionate. He doesn't like loud noises( motorcycles or sudden loud booms). He will walk but not for long periods of time. Other dogs motivate him.to walk. He plays but not aggressive at all. He will fetch a ball or small toy.

I adopted Riley and Cameron in 2014 and 2015. They are affectionate and spend most of the day chilling. Riley is more energetic and loves walks and Cameron is more shy and happy to just lay next to you.

We are a family of four: our oldest is away at college in Boston, and our youngest is a senior in high school. We work from home, have a large, completely fenced back yard, and two indoor cats. Our ALD Enzo is a sweet, gentle, playful, but pretty chill, hypoallergenic dood. We are allergic to dogs, so can only host hypoallergenic breeds.

Kobe is the friendliest dog you’ve ever met. There isn’t another person or dog that he has met that he has not wanted to play with. He is 8 months old and already been through puppy training classes. He is great on long or short walks and seriously loves to play. We live in a home in Walnut Creek with a big backyard for playing. We are only a 0.7 mile walk from a local dog park and the open space is right behind us.

Bear is a 2-year old Australian labradoodle. He is 48 pounds, and the sweetest pup! He is super social and gets along with everyone. He is house trained and potty trained so we do not use the crate anymore. Bear doesn’t like to be alone for more than an hour, so we would need someone to watch and stay with him if possible. Buddy is a maltipoo. He likes to snuggle against you on the couch and likes to chase his ball. He also take seizure medication twice a day. We can host a dog to 40lbs.

Hi we have a 20 pound goldendoodle named Lila. She is friendly, good with kids (we have 3 kids ages 13,11, and 6) and pretty chill. She loves going on walks and playing with other dogs. I would like to host other dogs that also do not shed and weighs 40 pounds or less. We have a fenced yard where dogs can run around. I also try to take her out for a walk twice a day. Lila is not crate trained but loves to stay in her crate with the gate open. She is fine sleeping on her dog bed when she is staying at other peoples houses. Dogs are allowed on our furniture but not on our beds. I’m a SAHM so I’m not gone too long throughout the day.

My husband and I adopted Bonnie. She is our 3 adopted furry friend. We’ve had dogs forever. We are an older couple and moved to Walnut Creek to be close to our son and family. Bonnie is 2 yrs young. She has intelligence and loves to herd us so she can go to the dog park everyday. She loves to catch the balls my husband throws for her. She had lots of energy. When she gets home she sleeps after all the exercising.

Olive was a rescue and she is the best dog! She is calm and loves to hang out with other dogs. She doesn't go on furniture ( this is a trait she came to us with- wasn't our choice). She does take medication twice a day. My husband and I have had dogs our entire lives and Olive gets treated like a member of our family.

We have a mellow large (probably) lab/greyhound mix. He is 9 years old and likes to sleep and go for walks. We have a large fenced yard although he prefers to stay inside if we give him the option! He gets along well with other dogs, large and small. He isn’t allowed on the furniture except for our daughters bed and even though she is away at college that is still where he prefers to sleep at night. Otherwise he is happy sleeping in a dog bed. I try to take him on a walk once a day although that doesn’t always happen. He is generally good on a leash and doesn’t pull. Every once and a while he will bark at another dog.

We enjoy going on walks, going to the park, and when I am I shape I run with Broc! Both my pups get along well and can be playful, but Rocky is slowing down and is not loving play time much these days. Broc is always ready for action! haha Both of my dogs have been raised in apartments and they have luckily adapted amazingly well. We don't worry about accidents or damages, so we consider ourselves very luck especially as husky parents.

Such breeds include golden retriever, Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, border Collie & currently a Maltipoo. Walks, play, cuddles and lots of love will be in good supply! Animals are allowed on the furniture and will be constantly supervised throughout my time with them. Your fur baby will get some much love and attention while staying with me. I love getting out and about in my neighborhood and have some nice trails around my area. Please let me know your pets current preferred sleeping conditions(couch, crate, their own bed),if boarding. Any concerns about being inside dog parks or interactions with other dogs. Alfie is a super playful pup! He gets bursts of energy, but he’s small so they don’t last very long. He gets on great with other dogs of all sizes and children.

I have a lot of experience with dogs and was a dog groomer for 12 years. I have a 2 month old baby and a cat besides Kai our 2 year old aussie. He is very social and loves to play with other dogs, well mannered, neutered, potty trained and crate trained. Needs some exercise but is also happy to lay around. He does shed but I brush him and groom him frequently to keep it to a minimum.

Louie is a 45 pound labradoodle who loves food and loves to play! We prefer lower shedding dogs, but can handle shedding dogs if needed (I do have allergies). We live right next to a dog park with mostly friendly dogs so we go very frequently (2x a day most days). We do prefer medium-energy dogs though as we both work from home so we're home all day but there are periods where we're working or days which are harder to get full high energy dog energy out. Louie does have separation anxiety - if he's alone at home he can get anxious, but with another dog, he's usually fine home alone. He LOVES food so he'll get into food if it's available on the counters or on a table. He’ll even open bags and get into closed containers that are plastic or paper for food. He won't do it with a human there, but if it's just dogs or if you're in another room, he may attempt. We have a full instruction manual for the basics of Louie and what he knows.

Hi! I'm a huge animal lover - growing up I was surrounded by dogs, cats, hedgehogs, deer, chickens and goats. Now, I have my dog Charlie, while sometimes taking care of my boyfriend's bull terrier Attie, and also leasing a horse. Charlie is a well behaved, trained house dog, with unlimited energy. We go on 3-5 daily walks, roughly 6-9 miles, around Walnut Creek. Charlie likes structure so I try to walk around the same time each day. We also love hiking. Charlie has some dog reactivity since he's small and scared, but he just needs to be introduced slowly and he will get used to other dogs. He doesn't do well with overly excited puppies, rather dogs that will leave him alone. I'd like to get (eventually) certified as a dog trainer and I've been able to teach Charlie and other dogs some tricks using positive reinforcement. Would be happy to work on some simple training with the dogs we will be pet-sitting.
